# 74 Are You Challenging Me?

There is an exclusive group of Demonic Assassins known as "The Reapers." The only way to join is to kill a member and in the fashion of "Highlander" you gain all of their abilities. Each member of the Reapers has a special scythe which is essentially their proof of membership.

Outside of The Reapers, only two people are known to have reaper abilities without first killing a member: Keioseth knows the "Soul Eater" technique which he learn from Master Wimmer.

Every Six years the members of the Reapers come together to have a tournament. The tournament is to decide who the "Top Reaper" is. A plot point I plan on putting in the comic.

Characters from Left to Right:

Skyla Conteh -
A returning character from my never-to-print comic that most of the characters from RH came from. She is a Shezmu demon [A group of demons who worship and drink blood] and hails from the African Islands [link]

She is the first female Reaper champion, the current champion, and Jace and Sei's biggest rival. Her Scythe is crystalline and not the best at defense, but it has the ability to channel sound waves. She uses these in battle to disorientate her opponents and can use concussion attacks up close [sorta like the Gravity Hammer from Halo].

Merchadh Jace McLeod -
Everyone's favorite Renegade playboy and Irish surfer dude. Jace is a member of the Elemental Demons from Northern Ireland, although both he and his brother are currently exiled from the clan. He is trained in the use of the Water and Air elements which add to his natural speed and agility making him incredibly fast, although physically frail.

Jace's scythe is very light weight and has an enchanted chain. While holding onto the bottom most grip, he can fling the scythe like a Kusarigama allowing him to attack from a great distance. This is where the enchanted chain comes it. The chain is never-ending and the length is controlled by Jace through the lower grip. The blade can also point straight up like a spear or a glaive and form a powerful energy shield around Jace for a short period of time as long as he doesn't move.

Sei Goeihei -

A member of the Ryoushi side of the Hunter-Ryoushi demons. he is the personal bodyguard of Keioseth's sister Verona. He hails from an Island of the coast of Japan. Like Jace, he is naturally fast but he is far less frail and quite capable of defending himself in hand to hand combat [His favored Style of fighting].

His scythe is the heavy hitter of the group, capable of Slicing through anything with ease. It's special ability is that it can transform into a small dragon. Sei uses this tactic while fighting, the dragon can attack from a distance with Fire Breathe and Sei can move in and beat the hell out of his opponent. He also has combos were the dragon turn back into the Scythe and then back to the dragon [The transformation is instant].

- Side Notes-

I shortened Jace's bangs because I thought he was beginning to look too similar to both Bruno and Seth but I lengthened his braid. Also a slightly differ outfit, I tweaked the outfit in several spots and added the front drape.

I gave Sei an overhaul. His duster jacket stayed fundamentally the same although it is shorter. I added the armor to give him a more warrior like look. I also added the tie because I thought, as a character, it fit him well. It also gives me a new mannerism for when he is stressed, he tugs on the tie and loosens it. With the tie I gave him a nice button up shirt and I completely changed his belts. I Also turned the "lines" over his nose into a scar and changed his hair slightly.
